The Village Church of Lincolnshire was looking to refresh their brand. Their culture was best expressed with the phrase “coming here was coming home.” I explored various ways “home” could be expressed visually. In the end, I used letters only, representing the people who make up the church. After all, this is what makes a place really feel like home. I hand-lettered the whole thing, intentionally weaving the letters around each other. It’s imperfect and each one unique. Then, to top it off, the house structure subtly tucked in the negative space tied it all together.
My role involved concept, design and execution from initial visual brand to all collateral pieces. Web programming for their new website by Andrew Seaman.
